12th August 2007
We are in PA visititng Amy’s family. This Sunday (12 August) we asked Dad to dedicated Evelyn. This is really a time where Amy and I commit ourselves to raising our children according to the Scriptures. We have asked Dad to do this with each child. It is a tradition. I hope we will repeat this traditions another time or two. Evelyn has had an eventful first month of outside life. We are excited about what God has been doing adn teaching us in the process.
We are having a great time here. It was a long overnight drive, but we are recoverd. We have had some trouble with children sleeping all night.
Overall it is a great trip.

What a day. We finally got out of town around noon and took our time getting into Chicago. Mike is getting married this weekend and we are all going to be together for the festivities as we celebrate thier nuptuals and welcome Tracy into the family.
Things are going well in Indiana. I am getting ready for my first phase of chaplain’s school. Also we are trying to get things together for the new baby (no we don’t know what it is).
Tom will be preaching in my place on Mother’s Day. He has a good idea about how to address mothers. I am looking forward to seeing the tape.
The Lord has been showing me His control over all of life. He keeps reminding me that life and ministry are done through His will and power. He has been taking some of the edges off as I try to remain submissive to Christ and faithful in devotion as a pastor.
